All About PolySteel
PolySteel is a lightweight, high-strength alternative to using steel or lumber in the construction of commercial or residential buildings in both below and above-ground concrete walls. These foam blocks provide a network of channels that allow poured concrete and steel reinforcement bars to form a concrete reinforced wall, thereby replacing conventional wood framing.
Unlike wooden or aluminum concrete forms, PolySteel stays in place, thus serving as insulation that far exceeds the latest energy standards. Use of the forms not only saves energy dollars, but also saves construction time by reducing labor costs. These savings are passed on to the homeowner.
PolySteel stay-in-place polystyrene forms provide super insulation on both sides of the reinforced concrete wall with a R-value of 21.
