Sealants:
Most conventional sealants (silicone or latex) are compatible with the V-Buck II system.  If unsure, test in an inconspicuous area for compatibility.
Sealing Chambers:
Use either duct tape or an expanding foam product to seal top of vertical struts prior to pour.  This will prevent the chamber from filling with concrete or water.  If water gets into chambers, drill weep holes at the bottom of strut.
Bracing For Concrete:
Like any other quality building material used with concrete, brace the V-Buck II block-out system every 18 inches.
When in doubt, it is always better to over-brace.

Double Car Garage Bracing Example:

  • Attach 45° POWER FOOT to spreader with self-drilling fasteners. For optimum performance, X and Y axis must be equal distance from corner.
  • Insert POWER BRACE and extend to reach strut.
  • Lower to strut. Slide in second 45° POWER FOOT
  • Attach with screws.
